Day 33: Feeling Epic

I’ve been up since 4.45am. I started the day with a workout, then Wim Hof breathing and a cold shower before I caught up on work I’ve been trying to catch up on for several weeks.

Then I recorded a video trailer for a course I’m putting out next month, prepared lunch, did a load of washing, helped Mini with her spelling homework, took another module of Jim Kwik’s Superbrain course, stripped the wallpaper in my office, prepared dinner, got Max bathed, brushed his teeth brushed (without any drama) and got him into bed. Instead of his usual tantrum, he got into bed smiling. We read two stories and he leaned over, kissed my cheek and said, “I love you, mummy” before falling asleep holding my hand.

So yes, I feel epic.

This is most definitely a night where wine would be used to celebrate my accomplishments. Then again, I imagine the list would be shorter if wine was involved.

In my podcast this week, I spoke about making habit change feel as rewarding as possible and tonight I’m getting to do just that. Instead of lamenting the lack of wine, I’m rekindling an old love – reading fiction. I can’t remember the last time I curled up with a good book so tonight I’m going to brew myself a cup of “sleepy tea“, get into bed and read.

It feels like the perfect way to end the day on a win.
